After finishing her studies at FEEIT and getting a degree in the power engineering field, Bojana Cubalevska decided to upgrade her skills and knowledge even further. To achieve her career goals, she chose the Data Analyst training at the Data Masters Academy, where she studied and worked with the most popular data analysis technologies (SQL, Python, Power BI).
Bojana shared her experience at the Data Masters Academy with us and revealed what motivated her to shift toward data and how she mastered the training modules.
You graduated from FEEIT and have now shifted your focus toward working with data. What motivated you to make this move?
The world is constantly changing, opening up new opportunities and sparking new interests. I believe that it is never too late to shift toward something that suits us better, regardless of our educational background or degree. Additionally, my curiosity and desire to discover different trends and extract insights from data motivated me even further to make this switch.
Given that you have basic experience working in Excel in the field of logistics, what were your thoughts on the rest of the training modules (SQL, Python, Power BI)?
Working with Excel has allowed me to familiarize myself with the concept of working with data, which helps me navigate working with new tools for the first time. Each of these tools has its advantages and benefits, depending on what we need when performing data analysis. Additionally, each tool was really interesting to learn and use.
Which of the modules did you find the most interesting, and which was the most challenging?
I would choose Python as an answer to both questions due to its diversity, wide scope, and the multitude of options it offers for handling each challenge.
What helped you master the training modules?
Attending the classes and solving the problems alongside the lecturers helped me the most. Each lecturer did an excellent job at transferring their knowledge to us while taking into consideration that for many of us, this was the first time working with the tools.
What would you recommend all future students do to best master the training modules?
I would recommend that they attend the classes as often as they can. Of course, not everyone will be able to do this, so I would also recommend consistently using the tools and resources that are readily available to us and that make learning fun and fulfilling.
Who do you think the Data Analyst training is most suitable for? Who would you recommend it to?
I would recommend this training to all those who want to become skilled at data analysis, gain hands-on experience, learn how to think analytically and make decisions based on the data they work with. I think that this training would be quite useful and valuable for all those who work in sales, finance, and banking, as well as anyone who wants to transform their career and gain the knowledge and skills needed to become a successful Data Analyst.
